numb the area around the tooth with local anaesthesia.\nWe take the time to make sure you feel comfortable, and we only begin the procedure once you confirm that the anaesthesia is working two types of extractions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>a) Simple extraction (H11)<\/strong> <br>If the tooth can still be gripped reasonably well:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>we gently Symptoms usually improve noticeably after <strong>3\u20135 days<\/strong>, although full healing of the bone and gums can take several weeks.<br>\nWith proper pain medication, cooling, and soft foods, most people recover smoothly. Intensive sports, heavy lifting and contact sports are best postponed for a few days to prevent post-operative bleeding. If necessary, we will discuss this during your appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>What does a tooth extraction cost and is it covered by insurance?<\/strong><br>\nThe costs depend on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">whether it is a <strong>simple<\/strong> or a <strong>complex\/surgical<\/strong> extraction,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">whether <strong>one or multiple<\/strong> teeth are extracted during the same appointment,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">and which <strong>x-rays<\/strong> are required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The rates are determined by the <strong>NZa<\/strong>.
