At 3D Tandarts at Station Schiedam Centrum, we offer a wide range of dental treatments - from preventive care and aesthetic procedures to specialist endodontics, restorations and gum treatments.

We combine personal attention with modern technology (digital scanners, magnification, laser and - in the near future - CBCT) to provide you with the best possible care.

Intake - First consultation

During the intake we take the time to assess your oral health and discuss your needs. We:

• examinate your teeth, gums, jaw joint and mucous membranes
• take radiographs where necessary
• propose a personal treatment plan at

The intake is the starting point for long-term appropriate oral care.

Regular Check-up

A regular check-up is an important moment to have your oral health evaluated. The dentist checks your teeth, gums, and fillings for problems such as cavities, gum disease, or wear. X-rays are often taken to detect hidden issues. Routine check-ups (usually every 6 months) help detect and treat dental problems early. You will also receive advice on oral hygiene, brushing, and other preventive care.

Dental Cleaning

A professional dental cleaning removes tartar, plaque, and deposits in hard-to-reach areas. This helps prevent gum inflammation and cavities. During the cleaning, your teeth are thoroughly cleaned and polished. If needed, we use a bicarbonate jet (airflow) to gently and effectively remove stubborn stains — for example from coffee, tea, or smoking.

Regular cleanings maintain your oral health.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth discolour over time due to coffee, tea, red wine, smoking and natural ageing, among other things. At 3D Dentist, we offer professional teeth whitening:

• In-office treatment - visible results in about 30 minutes
• Home bleaching - With customised bleaching bits for gradual brightening in approx. 2 weeks

We always start with a control to assess whether bleaching is safe and useful for your teeth.

Preventive Care for Children

Permanent molars have deep grooves where cavities can easily develop. With a protective layer, called a sealant, we close off these grooves. This prevents bacteria and food residues from accumulating there and provides an extra barrier against tooth decay.

Fluoride strengthens tooth enamel and makes it more resistant to acid attacks from bacteria. Regular fluoride treatments can therefore help prevent cavities and promote strong, healthy dental development.

Digital dentistry: intraoral scanner and imaging

With our intraoral scanner we make fast and comfortable 3D impressions of your teeth, without traditional impression materials. This increases comfort and accuracy at:

• crowns, bridges and veneers
• invisible braces (aligners)
• chaps and sports bits

In addition, we work with digital X-ray and panoramic shots. In the near future, this will be expanded to include CBCT scans (3D imaging) for complex endodontic and surgical treatments.

Restorative treatments

We repair damaged or worn teeth with restorative treatments. Consider:

• Direct restorations (fillings)
  High-quality, tooth-coloured composite fillings, with us always under rubber dam positioned for maximum durability and precision.
• Indirect restorations (inlays, onlays, overlays)
  Ideal for larger defects: precise, custom-made restorations with a longer lifespan than large fillings.
• Crowns and bridges
  For weakened or missing elements, in aesthetic and durable materials such as zirconia, ceramic and e.max, possibly with long-term temporary provisions in high-quality resin.

Endodontics - root canal treatment

An inflamed or dead nerve often involves a root canal treatment needed to preserve the tooth. Causes include:

• deep holes
• leaking old fillings
• cracks or trauma

We work with:

• rubber dam (isolation)
• magnifying optics / microscope
• modern disinfection techniques, in which we can also use laser support in complex cases

In future, diagnostics for difficult cases will be supplemented by CBCT (3D imaging).

We also treat:

• apex resection (root tip surgery) when ordinary root canal treatment is not sufficient

Gum treatments

Healthy gums are the foundation of stable teeth. For gingivitis and periodontitis, we offer:

• professional cleaning above and below the gums (scaling & root planing)
• motivation and instruction for good oral hygiene at home

In selected cases, we combine the mechanical treatment with laser therapy. This laser-assisted gum treatment can help reduce bacteria deeper in pockets and make treatment more comfortable.

Tooth Extractions

Sometimes a tooth cannot be saved, for example due to:

• advanced tooth decay
• a big break
• severe inflammation around the root

Our dentists have years of experience with both simple and complex extractions and provide a safe, most comfortable treatment, with clear aftercare and - where necessary - a plan for replacement (e.g. with crown-bridges or implants at a referral partner).
